Instructions for the hire of County First Aid Equipment

Girlguiding Sefton has a selection of adult, child and baby resuscitation dummies that can be borrowed by units in the county for training purposes with the girls in their unit.

The equipment is stored at Scarisbrick Campsite and will need to be collected and returned from and to this location (unless other arrangements are agreed).

To arrange to borrow the first aid equipment please contact Carole Maher (our County 1st response trainer) at least 2 weeks before it is required so she can advise as to its availability depending on any training sessions already arranged.

When contacting Carole please provide:

  • Your full name and the person who will be responsible for the equipment (if different).
  • The name of your unit and the full address of the meeting place.
  • The day and date you require the equipment for.

Terms & Conditions:

Units wishing to borrow the equipment will need to provide a £25 deposit which will be refundable on the return of the equipment.

A donation of £7.50 is also required which will go towards the upkeep of the equipment and the replenishment of supplies such as cleaning wipes, lungs etc.

Cheques should be made payable to “Girlguiding County of Sefton”

  • All dummies will be supplied with clean lungs and cleaning wipes to be used between each mouth to mouth use.
  • Lungs will be replaced, and dummies cleaned on their return.
  • Please do not take the dummies apart while out on loan.
